Stocking Up

Greetings and welcome!
I'm still around, however we've been very busy stocking up for our shop!

It takes a lot of shopping, and of course that's such a chore ;)
Wouldn't you know, we find a lot of items that we just can't part with, one such beauty is this pretty vintage bowl...

It reminds me of my Grandmother.

And this gorgeous Shabby Chic dish, what delicate flowers :)

Not to be outdone by this special gift from my Hubby...

I had to go to work last Saturday so he continued the hunt. Over dinner he told me all about the treasures he found, and this was one of them.  It is a Taylor Smith and Taylor Ironstone Pitcher and Basin Bowl. The value on this piece is quite a lot, but he got an amazing deal. It's got just the right patina, crazing, and it's very large and heavy!
He did not want me to put it in the booth as we've got the right spot for it in our Guest Room.
The community has been so supportive of our little venture, today we were offered an entire store to ourselves with incredible rent, however we're not ready for that just yet;)
The booth is coming along nicely though, and I had my first sale,  (a Shabby Chic Chair ).
I wanted to thank a few folks who have helped me out so much in our little town, Larry, Jamie, and Sylvia, thank you so very much! And to my brother J...I appreciate your help so much, your ideas, and designs make all the difference! xxx tami

  12. Love, love all your treasures...so excellent. I have seen that dinner set design, as in your bowl, over the years but cannot recall what it is called. I love the pitcher and wash basin that your husband found. It is gorgeous. I have one that was custom made 30 years ago in our guest bathroom, it is in a vintage motif and I love it. Your white is awesome! I have joined your followers list and invite you to join my followers list; as well,I hope you will grab a blog button. Hugs, Gayle

  16. Guess what?

You say that bowl reminds you of your Grandmother?

I think I have a HUGE set of that china that did belong to my Grandma!!!

If it isn't identical, it is a close cousin.

Of course, it is packed away in the storage shed so I can't go look........

I wish I lived closer so I could come shopping....

Give Husband a hug from me. He done good!

    AND your first sale!!! Wheeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!
