English Ironstone

I happen to have a love affair with all things English. I can't help it. It all just appeals to me. The fog, the green grass, the cottages, the tea, Jude Law, the accents, and ohhh the china! Any kind of dish to come across the pond seems to be the most exquisite. So here's a little English Ironstone Love I'm sharing, it's also available in my shop
Real English Ironstone Covered Dish

From around the 1960's
And guess who made an appearance there? The pretty little Individual Butter Dish. Thank you to all of you who commented on it, and said how much you like it. I'm not sure if it's Ironstone or porcelain, but it works so well with a white collection.
This one's made in China
I want to thank all of you who stopped by to view my little shop, it's kind of you. And for the compliments on the photos, I really appreciate it. I'll be back soon with some things I have been working on in my home, and to share a gift from my Husband. 'Till then "ta" xxx

  7. Love that covered dish (and the butter dish, too!) I picked up a Wm Adams & Sons ironstone pitcher, creamer, and covered sugar dish last month that I'm pretty certain matches this piece. It's a lovely pattern! Can't wait to see what you've been working on...

  8. I am smiling after this post and reading the comments so far. All you really needed to do was put a pic of Jude Law in your post! I have a butter dish just like that and I love it. I also love your butter knife. Have a great week. x Sharon

  19. Ohhhhh.....the pureness of ironstone! Love it! I started my collection a couple years ago and it's slowly growing into an addiction! My hubby rolls his eyes when I won't let him use a certain bowl because "it's part of the vignette.....Here! Use this old icky one, instead!" lol!
