Project #2 2011

There are certain items which are my weakness...pillows, china, chairs, and tables. I can't help myself, even if there's no place left in the house to put them, I want to take them home like stray puppies. So you can imagine when I saw this what happened.
It wasn't just the price tag that got me, it was the detail.
And look, it's all ready for a fresh coat of paint. No need to strip. When my Husband saw what I'd found, he quickly picked it up, I was holding onto it, and people gathering around me telling me how great it was. It was a no-brainer. We'll find a spot for it. I'll paint it white, and rub off lots of spots to show off the detail. I know,
not overly exciting, but it will work in any room. And I won something fantastic which I plan on displaying on top of it, with a new lamp. There's room for other pretties too. It's a good size side table.
She's got nice legs don't ya think? I can't wait to show her off.
Thank you to all of my readers, and to those of you who take the time to comment. March is nearly here, Spring is in the Air, and I'll be back with the After Photos soon. xoxo tami

  20. It is something I notice on many blogs in the New World: why why why paint everything white, or pink? It is so beautifully made, the wood has been chosen especially for this piece of furniture, there is such craftmanship in it. If it had not it might as well have been a mold for a plastic version. Wood is the earth, it is warm, it is natural ... When you touch it is honest, there is no layer between you and the table ...
