English Potted Garden

Greetings One And All!!!
This Week I'm Linking Up To A Very Special Party
It's the English Garden Party over at my Sister Across The Pond's Blog, Sarah Over At Modern Country Style
I think Sarah has been my biggest supporter. She visited my blog one day, and found something she fancied, which led me to hers. Her blog is so inspiring, and full of wonderful crafts, as well as my favorite morning read. So...this is for you Sarah...sending you some warm California Sunshine, and hugs
These pretty potted flowers were a surprisingly great deal at the Dollar Store
Yep...just $1.00 each, and such pretty colors. Perfect for Spring
I added them to a distressed flower trough found at Home Goods, and sat them outside in the warm sunshine on my vintage Bistro Chair
We've had this chair for ages. It's quite heavy. I used to give it a fresh coat of white paint each Summer, but that got tiresome, so I began to simply leave the patina, I happen to like the rust.
We really do not get harsh Winters here in this part of California where I live. But, we get rain, fog, and frost, so it makes for a rather yucky looking Garden this time of year. I thought to spare you those images, and instead, share some prettiness.
I filled my Bird Seed Bowl with some more potted flowers, not to worry, our Bird Bath is full of seed for our Garden Birds. We never let them go hungry.
One of my "Quick Tips" for when Guests are arriving, is to simply set your potted plants (still in the plastic containers) into your indoor planters before guests arrive, you can always re-plant them later, after the visit. This way, your home is nice and colorful, and it looks as though you have a green thumb. No one is the wiser;)

I will also be linking up to the following parties this week:

Have a Wonderfully Warm Week, One and All, and a special thank you to all of you who've made such lovely comments, as well as those of you who are new followers, it means a lot to me.
By the way, I'll be choosing a winner from the comments soon for another fun Giveaway. Be sure to check out January's winner, in "my giveaways" page. xoxo tami

  2. So pretty. I love your idea of moving your potted plants inside when you have guests - always buying cut flowers can become so expensive! I also want to thank you for your support of my blog. I think most of my visitors come via your site!!

  29. Hi Tami! I love your little potted plants, they are so pretty! I think that that is what I have to do this year around my deck area. I am horrible at keeping things alive though and it gets dry and humid here in the summer and I forget to water, not a good combo! Anyway, your plants in the box on the chair are so pretty and thank you for the bit of Spring! :)

I didn't know if I posted a pic, would it move my sig. down or stay where it was. So, when I figured that out I deleted that pic. Sorry! It is a fabulous photo and it was meant to be that you saw it at that exact moment! It was only on there for 2 min.!!! I put it back on, and it's titled "This is for you, Tami"
