Our Weekly Thrifting Adventures

For the past few months my husband and I spend our Monday mornings hopping from one thrift shop to the next. We have a local favorite that we visit and are usually the first ones there when the door opens. This particular Monday was a bit of a bust, as there was nothing that seemed to be coming home with us. So it being a particular hot morning, I was already tired when he suggested we check out Goodwill. I'm glad we did, we came home with a couple of bags full of incredible finds. Our grand total was $20.00! We got two shabby chic cottage pillows (pictured) a bone china cup/saucer, a silver tray with legs, one jewelry box, two herb pots, printer paper, and a video tape. The pillows are just gorgeous, dripping with cottage charm. They were $3.00 each, and I'll use them for some of my bistro chairs, or even switch out my guest room pillows from time to time with them. 2. I am so glad you stopped by so I could see your wonderful cottage charm home. I envy you having a hubby that likes to go thrifting. No way would mine do that. He likes restoring old cars. He just calls this other stuff junk. Now I will have to look some more at your blog.

  7. I just love to go thrifting with my husband. He used to be off every Friday and we would go out after taking the kids to school. Now we go on Saturday mornings and let the older ones babysit! The pillows are just gourgous. Love the yellow.
