Glimpse...

Of My Guest Room...just a peek, I plucked some of my Camelias this evening, that is before I remembered they're quite fragrant, and set off a bit of a headache accompanied by alergy attack, but it's ok, they looked lovely in this pretty tin I painted and distressed. A thrifted find for a mere $3.00. You may recognize the "Simply Shabby Chic" pillows from Target, Rachel Ashwell design. One of her first, and most popular. The white pillow case is thrifted for $1.00 and the lamp...a yard sale find nearly 10 years ago, we painted it white long ago, the shade a clearance Target find as well, I added some trim to make it a bit more special. The little sachet is something I've had for several years purchased from a gift shop locally, It hangs from the drawer of a chippy old night stand, to make guests feel welcome. I'll share more of my guest room soon. It's been the same for a long while, but I do change up the pillows and accessories from time to time.

  10. It seems to me Tami that your style of decorating would agree with a quote I read in Better Homes and Gardens. It read: "I think rooms that are fully decorated all at once look cold. I like to acquire things I love over time." Heidi Noonan. What ever the case, I like your style.

  19. Very cute thrift finds....love your distressed job on the little tin piece! :) I'm a sucker for anything that looks like old ceiling tin! lol
You're right..I LOVE my new crockpot. I haven't found one thing that I dislike about it..not one! (except it doesn't wash itself lol...but it is dishwasher safe, so it's close!) :) I have a feeling I'll be using that little appliance a LOT! :) I made a whole pork tenderloin in it night before last...we had leftovers that I turned into bbq the next night. I love meals that make more meals! :)
    Have a great day!
