Am I Blue?

...Sometimes, but I get over it quick, all it takes is a little neighborhood yard sale event to perk me right up. Yesterday I was well under the weather, but still managed to make an event going on through out one of my favorite local neighborhoods. We went from one house to another gathering up treasures. At one stop we found a man selling the most beautiful ceiling tin magazine holder (for another post) my husband bought for me. Then he quickly snatched up these vintage willow cups in blue and white. This morning we stopped on our way home at one of the homes to find they were still out, and we picked up the egg cups. There is something extremely cozy about blue and white. Although I don't have a lot, it does remind me of my grandmother who had a collection of blue, red, brown, black, and even purple willow plates. When we set the table we would stake claims on which plate we wanted to eat from. I'll be sharing these photos at the following parties:House in the Roses Show off your Cottage Monday

  1. I used to have a lot of blue in my house and sort of got away from it. I do love it though. It's soothing.
